National healthcare reform is happening rather quickly. Now is the time to be apart of the healthcare debate.
The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum will be hosting a webinar to explain how you can get involved and the contents of their advocacy toolkit for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (http://bit.ly/apiahf_advocacy_toolkit).
During the webinar we will discuss the importance of advocacy and the ways you can advocate for quality affordable health care that benefits Asian American , Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) communities. In addition, the webinar will give you the latest updates on healthcare reform.
The webinar will share tips on being an effective health care reform advocate:
• How to call and write your US Representative and Senators and what to say.
• How to write a letter to the editor.
• Key questions and talking points to have when you meet with a legislator.
• How to respond to opposing views.
We urge you to join the webinar and support quality affordable health care for all!
APIAHF created this toolkit to help people build support for quality affordable health care for all. The toolkit describes many ways you can get involved and provides some background information and talking points. We hope that it will serve as a useful guide in your advocacy efforts.
